Love INC of Greater Hillsboro Connects at Project Homeless Connect Washington County

One-Day Event

Project Homeless Connect Washington County (PHC) seeks to provide a multifaceted approach toward serving those affected by homelessness. One way in which they do so is providing “One-Day Events” where free services are available under one roof for one day – all are welcome.

Volunteers, nonprofits, and government agencies provide participants with services through PHC. These services include dental care, eyeglasses, HIV testing, HepA Vaccines, housing information, groceries, hygiene products, medical care, mental health services, SSI benefits, legal advice, employment counseling, job placement, wheelchair repair, addiction services, veteran’s services, and more.

The most recent One-Day Event was May 12. Love INC of Greater Hillsboro shared toiletries, hats, scarves, and toilet paper. Several of our volunteers served at the event throughout the day, handing out the helpful items along with information about Love INC, and smiles, to our neighbors with needs, as well as with other community organizations.

Executive Director Jolene Snow, was joined by Jeff, Grace, Anne, and Dawn.
Dwight Johnson, interim board president, Bev, Debbie, and Robin also joined.
