Meet Jeff Snyder

We are excited to welcome Jeff Snyder from Table Community Church to the Love INC of Greater Hillsboro staff as Clearinghouse Coordinator (CHC).

We asked Jeff to share a little about his motivation to serve.

Q. What interested you about the Clearinghouse Coordinator position at Love INC of Greater Hillsboro.

A. My wife and I relocated to Hillsboro from the Seattle, Washington area in 2020. Once COVID restrictions loosened, we started attending Table Community Church.

We soon learned that Table was designated as a “diaper depot,” a Love INC GAP Ministry. I helped my wife on several occasions meeting Love INC neighbors who came for pick ups, as well as re-stocking our supplies.

Not too long ago she attended a Love INC church liaison meeting on behalf of Molly Botsford, Justice & Mercy Table staff member. She came home with a copy of the job description for the CHC position and mentioned that they were having challenges finding interested candidates.

After reviewing the job description, I told her, “I think I can do that; I’m going to apply!”

My work background is in career counseling and workforce development. I love to see Christians working together, united by a common confession of faith to address practical needs on a local level for the sake of Christ. This was something lacking in our previous setting, and was a prayer for my wife and me as we sought out a new church home after moving to Hillsboro.

I am looking forward to working with Jolene and the wonderful assortment of volunteers who are supporting the vision and work of Love INC in Greater Hillsboro.
