10th Annual Golf Event Wrap-up

Thanks to all our sponsors, golfers and supporters for a great event!

The 10th Annual Golf Event was Saturday, June 6 – a great day of golfing, fellowship, and helping neighbors.

This year, 12 teams, sponsors, and other supporters worked together on behalf of the event. Over $19,000 of funds raised will go directly to the support of Love INC of Greater Hillsboro.

Team and individual prizes, as well as door prizes, were awarded at the after-golf meal provided at no cost to Love INC by Helvetia Community Church. Pastor Joshua Austring and his wife Freya, along with their children served lunch to our golfers. Joshua serves on our Board of Directors.

Two teams tied for the lowest score at three under par – Holland Properties and Parables & Putts from Trinity Lutheran Church.

The team with the most birdies, Holland Properites, was given the prize, and each member received a trophy and golf balls.

Parables & Putts members each received golf balls.

The Bringing in the Green award went to Swinging Hills from Singing Hills Christian Church. 

Randy and Linda Meister, representing the team, were awarded trophies by Board of Directors member Denny Garcia.

Trinity Luthern Church will be receiving the “Donut Holes in One” treat soon.

Damon Mapes of the Holland Properties team had the Longest Putt. 

The Closest to the Pin award went to Rick Hodges of Harvest Community Church’s EaglesnBirds team.
